Education Par Excellence to Experience

Department of Physics

Department of Physics was established in the year 1999. Basic concepts of physics is very much essential for understanding the engineering subjects correctly. The department has highly qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty who help the students to gain clear idea about the topics covered under Engineering Physics course. The well-equipped physics laboratory of the department help them to acquire basic experimental skill. The department organizes project exhibitions and expert lectures which help the overall development of the students.

In the department research lab staff members do research related to crystal growth and plasma physics. They are encouraged to participate and present research papers in various National and International conferences in India and abroad. Faculty members have published many research papers in international and national peer reviewed indexed journals.

The department has good supporting Non-teaching staffs – one supervisor, one Instructor and two Helpers. There is good synergy between the teaching and non-teaching faculty.

The Department of Physics has a Departmental Library. It has been utilized by both staff and students. Every year, substantial numbers of books are added to the departmental library; presently we have got 110 text books of different Authors.

  • It has well equipped laboratories and good infrastructure to conduct practical classes and research work in the related fields of Physics.
  • In the department, we provide the laboratory manuals to the students prepared by the staff members of our department.

To provide a strong foundation in engineering physics to understand and apply the principles in engineering applications.

  • To impart basic concepts of physics applied to engineering and technology to enable them to become high quality engineers.
  • To awaken the students to understand the applications of both theoretical and practical physics for the needs of society.
